Beth to Join So Long Springfield Tour in Connecticut and SLS at Sea!

On October 9, 2009, 66 fans from around the country joined Beth and her guests for an afternoon of excellent food and camaraderie at Becco Restaurant in Manhattan.  Peter Roy (Beth's husband), Grant Aleksander, his wife, Sherry Ramsey, Orlagh Cassidy,  Zach Conroy, Maeve Kincaid, Kurt McKinney, Michael O'Leary, and Yvonna Wright wowed the fans and went on to mix, mingle, pose for pictures and sign autographs.  Michael, Grant, Kurt and Beth had the crowd roaring with laughter during the auctions to raise money for The Humane Society and for Beth's son's nursery school playground project.  We raised $3320 for The Humane Society Anti Cruelty Division and $1000 for the playground project.  To all who so generously donated, we THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!  And kudos to the outstanding staff and management of Becco (Executive Chef William Gallagher, General Manager Jim Brigman and Event Coordinator Matt Martin.  Without their unending patience and professionalism, we could never have put on our successful events over the years!!

On Friday, October 5, 2007, 74 excited fans joined Beth and some of her castmates for a delicious luncheon at the famous BECCO restaurant in New York City.  Beth's honored guests included Grant Aleksander, Orlagh Cassidy, Michael O'Leary, Tina Sloan and Guiding Light's casting director, Rob Decina.  Mr. Decina spoke passionately and eloquently about the effects of autism his family has experienced since his son's diagnosis.  Via raffles and an auction, $3155 was raised for Autism Speaks through the incredible generosity of Beth's fans!

Lawrence St. Victor and Marcy Rylan and Beth travelled to Atlanta to represent Guiding Light's Find Your Light volunteer mission. They partnered with Hands On Atlanta which was renovating several homes. Beth got to show off her considerable construction experience while giving back to the community!

Beth joined the cast of Guiding Light to kick off their year-long Find Your Light volunteer program. The first stop was Biloxi, MS, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Beth and her fellow cast mates spent one week renovating homes as well as listening to and mingling with the folks who were so deeply affected by this tragedy. They also made a side trip to New Orleans to witness the horrific destruction left behind from the hurricane and broken levees.

October 2006

BECCO Restaurant in New York City was the site for a fabulous charity luncheon hosted by Beth Chamberlin on Friday, October 4, 2006.  Through an online auction, five fans bid $1000 for the opportunity to spend the afternoon dining with Beth.  The proceeds benefitted The Humane Society, of which Beth is an ardent supporter.  Joining Beth were her dear friends, Grant Aleksander and his beautiful wife Sherry, Michael O'Leary, and Yvonna Wright.
